We have a 2003 TJ that came (to us) with a hardtop. The original plan was to get a soft top later.

I think I am seeing something about a frame that I have to buy in addition to the soft top? Teach me, I am a sponge.

We have full doors, and since I recently got tube doors, I don't have any plans to buy half doors. (If this makes any difference)

Okay did some more digging. I'm trying to find a soft top that will fully cover the driver/passenger area but without any additional frame work.

I'm assuming the frame work, like what comes with the BestTop SuperTop NX would have to be removed before the hard top could go back on.

So I guess what I want is a soft top that will only require removal of the soft top before the hard top can be put on.

Weather permiting I'm going to take the top off before I go to Marble Falls I will post a pic show you a pick of how it is supported. If you get the top I have all the frame work comes off with the top. It's not like the CJ I had where you had to un bolt the frame work from the body. The top I have is extremly easy to put on. And should not interfer with the hard top. The only thing that stays on the jeep is the 2 posts on the roll bar that the frame mounts to.

I'm waiting on a message back from BestTop but after talking to the wife yesterday I think we're going to go with the TrekTop NX.

Okay I hate digging around for the best price on things. I found it for $514, $560 after shipping which is about $90 less than everyone else.

Ordered!

Here is a pic of the frame work for my top. It all go's with the top when it's removed except the bracket you see bolted to the roll bar.

I asked my wife to take it in the back yard and let the Sun heat it up for this evenings install..

Okay Bestop Trektop NX installed, but I can't get the damn back hooked on to the brackets. I think it's going to have to sit in the Sun a little while before I can get it hooked in the back.

Very nicely made though.

I'll have to get some pictures during the daylight.
